Building the Query

In STNext, build your search query:

• Adding CAS Lexicon Terms to Your Search: Search the CAS Lexicon and add terms to your query with the CAS Lexicon tab.

• Opening Databases and Clusters to Search: View and open databases/clusters available for searching with the Databases tab.

• Using the Search Assistants, Command Window, and Command Line: Access search assistants and scripting tools in the Command Line Menu.

• Using Scripts for Queries: Streamline your search using repeatable and adaptable commands.

• Using Structures for Queries: Search files using a chemical structure as your query. You may also use a structure to search Derwent World Patent Index chemical fragmentation codes.

• Using Sequences for Queries: Search the DGENE, PCTGEN, and USGENE files using a sequence as your query.

• Using CAS Registry BLAST: Find sequences of interest, import them into STNext, and generate a sequence alignment report.
