The Chinese patent full text database CNFULL has been reloaded on November 4, 2023. CNFULL covers patent applications, granted patents, utility models, and design patents published in China. Content enhancements and new search options promise additional relevant hits.
CNFULL contains now more than 45 million family records with more than 51 million publications. It is updated weekly.
About three million additional design patents were added with the reload. The Locarno classification (/LCL) is now available for the more than eight million design patents in CNFULL. See HELP LCL for details.
With the reload, the new Chinese language fields title (/TIZH), patent assignee(s) (/PAZH), inventor(s) (/INZH), legal representatives (/AGZH) and abstract (/ABZH) have been introduced. While displayable in Chinese characters, these new fields are not searchable.
The TIZH field is now included in multiple predefined display formats, including ALL, BIB and MAX. The ALLO display field includes all of the new Chinese language fields.
Note that English language titles and abstracts in CNFULL may change. They are first machine translated from Chinese into English but are then later replaced by human translations. The detailed descriptions and claims are always machine translated.
The detailed description in English is now indexed in its own search field /DETDEN which allows a more precise search.
Based on the annotation of the claims in English language, two new search and display fields enable a more precise retrieval of terms in
the English claims text. Terms in the independent claims may be searched in the field /CLM.IC. Terms in claim groups, i.e., an independent claim and its related dependent claims, can be searched in the field /CLM.CG. See HELP CLAIMS for details.
The new Agent Number (/AGN) fields is provided by the Chinese Patent Office. This new information is helpful to those involved with the legal prosecution of the patent.
